What is the Business Chicks Cambodia Challenge 2009 ?

This is my first ever fundraising adventure. The Challenge is to raise funds to travel to Cambodia and to support Kids Helpline.

Kids Helpline is Australia's only free, confidential and anonymous, 24-hour telephone and online counselling service specifically for young people aged between 5 and 25.

I will travel to Cambodia in November with about 20 other business chicks. We'll be cycling around Cambodia and also do some project work at the Geraldine Cox orphanage.

What is my fundraising goal?

My goal is to raise a total of $8,000. My personal committment to kick start this is the registration fee and travel deposit for the trip totalling $1100. (See my fundraising goals page to see exactly what funds i need to raise and by when)

“If you have much, give of your wealth; If you have little, give of your heart” - arab proverb

How can you support me in this adventure ?

My vision is "inspiring change through creativity", therefore i hope to achieve fundraising through creativity.  Here's some ways you can support me to achieve my fundraising goals:

1. ATTEND my creative goal setting workshop (details on creative workshop page of this website)

2. HOST a creative goal setting workshop run by me for your friends, family or workplace

3. SHOP for gorgeous goods

     at my eBay store  http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/featherstar-jewels

     or

     at my redbubble site  http://www.redbubble.com/people/keenbubble08

4. DONATE by visiting http://www.everydayhero.com.au/kathryn_hudson

5. CONTRIBUTE goods or services for raffles

Of course, my fundraising adventure wouldn't be the same with out a good old fashioned raffle. I am looking for amazing prizes to giveaway, so if you or your business can contribute prizes for the raffles, I'd be delighted to hear from you. If you would like to help me out in any way, just call me. I'd be happy to have a chat and collaborate efforts.

What is Kids Helpline ?

Every Week 12,000 attempts are made to contact Kids Helpline.

Sadly only 6,000 are answered.

Kids Help Line is Australia's only free, confidential and anonymous, 24-hour telephone and online counselling service specifically for young people aged between 5 and 25. Counsellors respond to more than 10,000 calls each week about issues ranging from relationship breakdown and bullying to sexual abuse, homelessness, suicidal thoughts, and drug and alcohol usage.
The service aims to empower young people by assisting them to develop options, identify and understand the consequences of a particular course of action, facilitate more productive relationships with family and friends, and provide information on local support services.  Kids Help Line counsellors are fully qualified professionals who undergo additional accredited training at Kids Help Line.
